Welcome Dear One, Rachel Lynn Sebastian, here [founder of 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕔 𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝 𝕠𝕗 𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕦𝕞𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡]. After a breast cancer and PTSD diagnosis in 2015, I began a journey that fully activated my gifts as a shamanic medium. Addiction and OCD recovery were also gifts I received along the way. At one point I thought, “My God, what else is wrong with me?” And that’s when I discovered the truth of who I have always been: I am not, have never been, and will never be - broken. And I have committed to living my life as empowered and sovereign - sharing the unconditional love, acceptance and non-judgment of the Divine realm first to myself - and then to those in my tribe.

Many clients ask me if I have tribal lineage. And I hesitate to respond. Why? Because the question is often coming from a sense of insecurity about their own right to practice shamanic medicine; I am a firm believer that the medicine and the shamanic path calls each of us directly in a unique and special way at the most poignant time in our lives.

My mother is Tsimshian (Alaskan Native) and I have a trace (but significant to me) of Indigenous Mexican lineage. Nonetheless, I can’t stress enough that my shamanic ordainment came from the Divine with me. From the medicine itself.

In 2020, inside of a plant medicine ceremony, I was shown that I was to open a school. At first I was shown to teach mediumship, and then shortly after I began enrolling students - I was shown to include shamanism in our teachings. The response was incredible. Students were crying tears of joy that the fullness of their true calling had been answered.

It’s been over a year since that first unshakeable guidance to open Shamanic School of Mediumship. ALL of our 2021-22 enrollees graduated from our program (many of which are now certified shamanic mediums and have obtained additional intensive training to become coaches for our incoming enrollees). We are also to be offering the foundation our practices to our intuitive youth (kids who have the chance to be fully embraced, accepted, supported and loved through their gifts: in a way that many of us did not experience).

As we begin enrolling for “year two” of this divinely guided school, we look back at the lives we’ve transformed and the ripple effects of their transformation on their loved-ones and community. What an incredible honor it is to do this work, to be both teacher and student as we continue to grow collectively and intentionally together.
